Not all vintage is created equal… and this Dior bag proves it.
This is vintage Christian Dior Cannage — and there’s a reason collectors look for this pattern.
This stitching is called Cannage, inspired by the Napoleon III chairs used at Dior’s original fashion shows. Canning = cannage
But here’s what makes this one special —it’s done in patent leather, which gives it that high-gloss, almost lacquered finish.
And the structured shape + chain strap? That’s peak early-2000s Dior.
Not all vintage Dior holds value the same way —pieces with iconic design codes like Cannage are the ones collectors want. This is the difference between vintage… and investment vintage.
They say that if you know, you know. And if you didn’t, now you do.
