Vintage 1970s Nina Ricci Black Monogram Handbag Leather Bow Gold Hardware

A beautifully distinctive vintage Nina Ricci handbag dating approximately to the 1970s–early 1980s, combining the romantic femininity of the French house with an unexpectedly relaxed, almost equestrian-inspired silhouette.

The body is rendered in dark woven textile patterned throughout with the Nina Ricci name, signature NR motifs and delicate floral/bow imagery in a subtle burgundy tone. Black leather trims the bag and forms the structured center strap, finished with decorative perforations and polished gold-tone hardware.

A small sculptural leather bow sits near the handle attachment—an especially charming Nina Ricci detail and one that echoes the bow motif seen throughout the house's vintage accessories. Period Nina Ricci bags using the same repeating NR/bow monogram have been attributed to the 1970s.
